The Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs are both 5-3 heading into a crucial week 10 match up for both teams. The Bills are coming off of the bye week and are hoping that Fred Jackson and more importantly Sammy Watkins are available. Watkins has been dealing with a groin injury for the past two weeks, and suffered a setback this week during practice. Jackson who injured his own groin in week 7 versus the Vikings. While the Bills running game has been atrocious, think it is safe to say that Watkins is the more important one this week.
The Chiefs are riding a three game win streak, defeating the Chargers, blowing out the Rams, and defeating the Jets by two touchdowns last week. Alex Smith is a solid quarterback, but has yet to throw a touchdown pass to a Chiefs wide receiver. The Chiefs do have a strong front seven on the defensive side of the ball with NT Dontari Poe, OLB Tamba Hali and the NFL’s sack leader, OLB Justin Houston. The Bills also have to contain Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles, who last year only had 17 receiving yards…thanks to Kiko Alonso. With no Alonso patrolling the middle of the field, it will be up to Nigel Bradham who has to watch the shifty back.
It will be a nice fall day tomorrow, with a high of 45 and a 20% chance of rain. Kyle Orton is used to playing in cold weather, so throwing the pig skin around should not be a problem. Look for Robert Woods to have a big day, especially if Watkins is out on the field. The Bills defense will continue the scoreless streak of Chiefs wide outs not scoring a touchdown. And with all that being said….the Bills will win 27-21.
The Bills are going to the Super Bowl!
