Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. The time has come. It is Championship Sunday in the NFL. Three of the teams were expected to be here, with the fourth team surprising some. Tom Brady is looking to win his fourth Super Bowl, Russell Wilson is going for back to back, Aaron Rodgers is looking to pass Packers legend Brett Favre, and if they haven’t already, Andrew Luck is trying to make Colts fans forget about number 18 FOREVER!
Green Bay Packers @ Seattle Seahawks
CenturyLink Field 3:05pm – FOX
This is the more anticipated match up. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense going up against the best defense in the game. How many times will Rodgers go after Richard Sherman? Tony Romo tried to and we all know how that worked out. Can Buffalo native James Starks step up as he did during the Packers 2010 Super Bowl run? Is there a flaw to this Seahawks team? Russell Wilson continues to wow us and make plays out of nothing, Marshawn Lynch has “Beast Mode” runs, and Richard Sherman leads the leagues best defense.
Is this going to be a low scoring game? With Seattle’s defense, it makes you believe so. With Seattle playing at home in front of their 12th man, it’s hard for any team to come in and win. This Seahawks team is hot at the right time, and are looking to go back to back for the first time since New England did it in 2004 and 2005. Seattle is just to good, and make the trip to Arizona. Seahawks win 27-20.
Indianapolis Colts @ New England Patriots
Gillette Stadium 6:40pm – CBS
New England -6.5
The Patriots have defeated the Colts fives times in a row dating back to 2010, including a win last year in the Divisional Round. Andrew Luck has gone up against Tom Brady three times, and has lost by a combined score of 144-66. This Colts team is a little different. Andrew Luck has proven that he belongs in the elite quarterback talk even with that disgusting beard. Tom Brady has some nice words to say about the Colts defense. They do not have any big names. Gone are the days of Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis.
Tom Brady is on the verge of joining some elite company. On the move to winning four Super Bowl rings and joining the likes of Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw. Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback I have ever seen. have this argument anytime, but Brady trumps Peyton Manning. It is not even close. Andrew Luck is going to give it all he’s got but it won’t be enough. If we go by the numbers from their last three games, the score will be 48-22 Patriots. The Colts will keep it closer than that, but Patriots win 35-24.
