The State University of New York Buffalo Bulls basketball team is off to the big dance for the first time in school history. After winning the MAC East and clinching the number two seed in the MAC Conference tournament, the Bulls had a bye into the semi finals. After defeating Akron on Friday night, that set ups championship match up between the top two seeds.

As you can tell by the title, the Bulls won last night 89-84. It was a close game all the way through. It was a wrap when senior and Buffalo native Will Regan knocked down two clutch free throws to seal the deal. In only his second season of coaching Bobby Hurley is returning to the dance as a coach. The other senior on the team Xavier Ford earned MAC tourney MVP. You can say that X really never lived up to the expectations after the hype coming out of High School, but he has performed in whatever role Hurley asked of him.

Joe Lunardi has the Bulls plugged in for a twelve seed. Hell ya! The infamous 12-5 upset. bring on whoever. Can the Bulls end up in the east bracket, win the first two games and play at the Dome in Syracuse in the Sweet 16? How sweet would that be! The Bulls are going dancing!
