Should John Jaso Still Be On An MLB Roster?

First off, do you even know who John Jaso is? The 32 year old journeyman has played on four different big league clubs in eight seasons. He is in his first season with the Pittsburgh Pirates and is batting .265, with 5 home runs and 33 RBI in 112 games. There was a play last night in the Pirates and Cardinals game that was a head scratcher, and even though it happened in the top half of the first inning, it ultimately sealed their 8th consecutive loss.

I am unable to find a video of the situation, but there were men on first and third with just one out. Matt Adams rolled over on a pitcher and grounded it to Jaso who was playing first base. Now instead of turning to second and starting the double play, Jaso saw Kolten Wong make a break for home. Jason and Wong both froze, and when Wong attempted to get back to third, Jaso threw over and Wong slid in under the tag, and all three runners were safe. Next batter, Yadier Molina, grand slam. Jason could have turned the double play which would have ended the top half of the inning and the score would have remained 0-0. How would the rest of the game played out if that was the case, we do not know.

The point of the story is John Jaso sucks and he botched a simple little league play. The Pirates should ask back for their $4 million.

If you have a video of the play I am talking about, let us know so we can add it to the post.
